Club weaving

I started Club weaving.

And had kickoff meeting where I found the point that I missed.

The purpose of the club is to let children know how easy weaving is.

However, those staff who attended to the kickoff meeting did not agreed about what I said weaving is easy things.

And then, I found, yes, before we dictate to children, staff must know how to weave.

So, coming middle of May. I organized experience meeting where all attends should weave by themselves with such simple tool as showing by the photo.

Yamato

On April 2, the next day of my visit to Edajima, we visited YAMATO model that is set up at dog of Hitachi Zosen in Mukaijima (Opposite of Onomichi-shi .

The model is made the same scale of front half to actual battle ship YAMATO which is used in movie “Otokotach no Yamato” (Yamato for mens).

When I step up on the deck, I impressed the size of the ship Yamato.

And as I thought, the body is made by wood which painted metal color makes very real feeling of metal.

The size, so big, why Yamato had to build and why Yamato had to left from Kure Port?

Even, the peoples who ordered the sail, they know Battleship Yamato had to left without guards. Why?

I got very strange feeling when I come out from Yamato because there are a lots of visitors here and they are not only seniors but also a lot of yang peoples too.  Why?

And I will not to see the movie Otokotachi no Yamato.

Torinuke means, walking through cherry trees tunnel along river Ohkawa side in the Mint Bureau in Osaka.

Torinuke in this year is finished by April 18.

There are a lot of Multi layered cherry trees that are quite different from single petal cherry flower i.e, Somei-Yoshino that was ending the season now.

Cherry flower of this year is selected Ohtemari, very luxurious as the photo.

Please see those nice cherry flowers!

Edajima

Edajima is located opposite side of Kure-shi near to Hiroshima-shi.

I was intended to visit Edajima long time and now it is realized on April 2.

The gate mentioned JMSDF(Japan Marine Self Defense Force)first technical school a naval academy.

The naval academy was transferred to Edajima from Tokyo in 1888.

Edajima_gate Auditorium

The inside of the gate is kept very well and clean that gives very good feeling.

First, we are guided to auditorium where preparation for graduation ceremony is completed for few days later.

Most impressed place is Educational Museum.

Education_museum

Soon after get into museum and go up to mezzanine floor, the hair of the deceased of Admiral Togo is kept in stone monument.

There are a lot of photos, pictures, navy clothes, equipments, etc.

I got very family feeling when I saw paintings of revived marines on cutter out from “Blocking of Lushun port” operation, “Battle of off Ulson”, “Battle of the Japan Sea”, and a lot of paintings of the Sino-Japanese War as well as the Russo-Japanese War. Because, when I was children, there are many Ehon showing such pictures in my home.

And a lot of notes left behind by marines and officers, those all youngs knowing they have to go for attack without return. (Such as Kamikaze attack)

I need much more time to read those notes.

I got such impression after I came out from the museum.

Shortly after 2nd war, occupied US request Japan to re-install armaments and JMSDF

was thus started with US equipments, US technology, US training, etc as there are nothing left arms from former navy.

However, since some time, JMSDF come to worship Admiral Togo as the founder of Japanese navy and intake spirits of old navy.

Because, those navy cadets must have a big influence from those exhibited at Educational museum.

If it is so, I wish the spirits must be the one from Meiji era of Admiral Togo time and not the time of the spirits when they made Battleship Yamato.

I am not militarist or right-winger but I believe “my country must defend by us”.

My hart get enthusiastic when I saw march of navy cadets.

Shunran

Few days ago, Shunran (Cymbidium goeringii) bloom in my small garden.

Word to word translation of Shunran is Shun=spring, Ran=Orchid.

Usually, Shunran live in mountain or field in mountain side.

It is said that this is Japanese original flower.
